Every guide on this site exists to answer one practical question about YouTube captions or transcripts. This page explains who writes them, how we make sure the steps are right, when we re-check them, and what we do when we get something wrong.
The guides are written and reviewed by the Shinel Studios team, the video-editing studio in Pathankot, Punjab, India that builds and runs this tool. We pull caption tracks from YouTube for subtitle, show-notes and research work for our own clients, so the problems the guides cover are ones we hit ourselves. One person drafts a guide and a second person follows the steps independently before it is published. There are no guest posts and no sponsored articles. You can read more about us on the About page.
Every step that tells you to click or tap something is checked against the current YouTube web interface in a desktop browser, the YouTube app on Android, and the YouTube app on iOS, on real devices we own. Where a step only applies to one of those, the guide says so. Claims about what our own tool does are checked against the live tool, including the list of export formats and the per-IP fair-use limits. If we cannot reproduce a step, it does not go in.
We re-check each guide at least every six months, and sooner whenever YouTube moves a menu, renames a setting or changes how captions behave. Each article shows its published date and, if it has been revised since, the date of the last substantive update. We do not bump the date for typo fixes. When a page becomes outdated we update it rather than publishing a near-duplicate; when two pages cover the same question we merge them and redirect the old address.
If a step no longer works, a fact is wrong, or something is unclear, email shinelstudiocontact@gmail.com with the page address and what you saw. We check reports on a real device, fix the page, and update its revision date. Significant corrections are noted on the page itself.
Drafts may be prepared with AI writing tools. Every published step is checked by a person on a real device before it goes live, and every claim about numbers, limits or what a tool can do is verified by a person. We do not publish statistics we cannot back up, and we do not claim the tool can do something it cannot, such as transcribing a video that has no caption track.
When we compare our tool with others, we state only what we verified on the other tool's own public pages, and we date that check in the article. Where their site does not state something, we say "not stated" rather than guess. We disclose that TranscribeYouTube is our own product in every comparison, and we name the cases where a competitor is the better choice.
The site is free to use and is supported by advertising served through Google AdSense. Advertisers have no say in what we write, and ads are not placed in exchange for coverage. We do not use affiliate links: no link on this site earns us a commission, including links to the tools we compare. How advertising cookies work and how to opt out is explained in our privacy policy.
